I looked on saloondata.com, you should be proud of this MK2 it is very nice. I would like to compare it to my MK2 if you are ever over to the east side of the state. Was this MK2 a steel wheel car originally and then converted to wires? I only ask because the wheel brace in the boot. My car is 179932DN.

Yes, the car was manufactured with steel wheels and was converted to chrome wire wheels by a previous owner in the mids 80s. I have a number of photos of the car with the original owner from July 1965 when it was one year old on the steel wheels.

Numerous photos are posted at www.saloondata.com, Pinterest, faceboook and other locations, or just a google search also works well. Just use the car # 167128DN or the plate BBP536B. Come on over to Traverse City the MK2 is in a commercial building high on 4 post lift under studio lighting ready for you examination. I apppreciate your interest. Rick Bondy

I converted my MK2 when I did the front and rear end renovations. Much nicer looking with the wires. Mine did have the original trim rings on the steel wheels when I showed it in the 80's. When I come to TC I will call.
