Car is a XK150S with original 3.4L "S" engine.
Has anyone seen these stampings on the block and know what they are for?
Either a "G" or "H" is stamped lightly next to the stud on the exhaust side of the block. See photo.

This would be the high compression motor pistons and "gold" or pumpkin (color) head. Just saw an S at the regional AACA. Very rare mechanically engaged OD...one of only 211 or so and all were the 150 S.

This may help you.
