Aluminium Nacelle early MK-2

This is one of two known aluminium steering column Nacelles (aka Switch Covers, Cowlings), known to exist.

Early (1959) MK-2 production started with aluminium nacelles and Jaguar switched to plastic inmediately due to cost.

The two halves of the nacelle are in solid aluminium. At some point they were painted black so I am now removing the paint and polishing them.

They are absolutely beautifully-made parts.

This one came off a manual 4-speed Overdrive MK-2, that is all I know.

Also the Overdrive stalk switch cutout is on the LEFT side, and the Turn Signals switch cutout is on the RIGHT, per the very early MK-2.
