Hi Guys,

For those of you contemplating the rebuild of a 3.8 litre engine you may want to consider
the following suggestion:

I learned the hard way about the "hot spot" at the rear of the cylinder head on these engines.

This is the point where the cylinder overheats because the water passage gets plugged
due to corrosion thus causing overheating then scoring in the cylinder.

If you plan on keeping the car you may want to consider removing that cylinder liner and
grinding out the water passage.
