This is my 4th MGB. I have owned a '72 and '74 as well as a "Roll dash" '72. Also a '62 MGA 1600 MKII and a '59 1500.
Other British cars I have owned were a '68 "88 Land Rover; Austin Marina; '59 Morris Minor 1000; (5) Rover P6's; (3) Nash Metropolitians (!); Austin Cambridge.

Despite the snow we keep getting I took the GT out of storage at Easter. Last Wednesday I drove it to work and then on another outing later in the day as the weather was good. Friday morning was a blizzard which melted by the afternoon. Spring! Decided to replace the binding choke cable with a new one I bought last year. Gods what a Winter! Freezing cold weather from Christmas on and last weekend a huge dump of snow. Not great conditions for doing anything on either MG. Last Month my Wife bought her "Dream Car". A 2002 Jaguar XJR. 4 Litre Supercharged V8. Red with white interior. To fit this addition in to the garage, as she wished, I had to modify the garage door and install a 4 post lift. Closing in fast on the end of October here in Alberta. Strong winds have blown off all but the hardiest leaves and the Canada Geese are gathering in large numbers on our lake before heading South. The last weeks have been mostly quite mild, though there have been a few -3C mornings when I left the GT at home as the choke cable sticks when I pull it out, but for the most part I'm still driving the MG every day. So I just returned from my road trip in my GT which took me from Edmonton out to Powell River on the Sunshine Coast in B.C. When I arrived home I had covered 2040 miles and the only repair was to replace a gasket at the bottom of the header pipe which burned out when I lost a nut holding the flange together. (Part of my pre-trip which I forgot to do). At one point on my return trip I added 1/2 litre of oil and added about 1/3 litre to the gearbox to bring the levels up. My outbound trip took...
