Spring ??

Posted on: Saturday April 14, 2018

Despite the snow we keep getting I took the GT out of storage at Easter. Last Wednesday I drove it to work and then on another outing later in the day as the weather was good. Friday morning was a blizzard which melted by the afternoon. Spring! Decided to replace the binding choke cable with a new one I bought last year. Garage reno 018

Gods what a Winter! Freezing cold weather from Christmas on and last weekend a huge dump of snow. Not great conditions for doing anything on either MG. Last Month my Wife bought her "Dream Car". A 2002 Jaguar XJR. 4 Litre Supercharged V8. Red with white interior. To fit this addition in to the garage, as she wished, I had to modify the garage door and install a 4 post lift. I'm interested in buying a nicely restored Volvo "Turbo" Coupe from the same gentleman. I love Volvos and have owned...

It took a few weeks to get the car sorted but by June it became a regular driver an...

South of Kamloops on 5a

So I just returned from my road trip in my GT which took me from Edmonton out to Powell River on the Sunshine Coast in B.C. When I arrived home I had covered 2040 miles and the only repair was to replace a gasket at the bottom of the header pipe which burned out when I lost a nut holding the flange together. (Part of my pre-trip which I forgot to do). At one point on my return trip I added 1/2 litre of oil and added about 1/3 litre to the gearbox to bring the levels up. My outbound trip took...
