The cam covers on my Series 3 V12 leak a bit. I’m in the process of arranging to do the work, and have discovered quite a difference in the price of the factory gasket and the Cometic gasket.

I’ve also read in various places that the factory gaskets are of low quality. Is there anyone with similar experience?

I guess I don’t mind paying more for the better gaskets if the factory models are really that bad. But, since I do my own work, I can’t help but notice that I could replace the factory gaskets 6-8 times before I’ve spent as much as the Cometic gasket. That suggests very strongly to me that I should take a shot with the cheaper ones and see how they work out.
