Tim Suddard, Editor, in this month's issue of Classic Motorsport described his experience with VHT Wrinkle when refinishing the dash panel of his Elva. He was having problems until he set it out in the sun on a 95° day. Then it wrinkled up perfectly.
I have used it on my '69 E-type. It may take some practice, but the key is heavy, even application, heat (not necessarily a direct torch flame; small parts can go in the oven but don't tell your wife) and patience. It can always be reapplied if not perfect. Also, there are other brands out there.
