hey carmel...i just joined also and already have had some very nice help on my jag project. i've owned a couple and will never forget the ride and handling of my 2 xjs's both v-12's..AND, i was in melbourne in 2000 and loved it. it was so clean and the people were so nice. i also visited new zealand and that was also quite nice and beautiful. anyway, welcome to this site and enjoy!!!

Hi Quentin, Thank you for the message. My X300 XJ Sport is still off the road as it will still cut out and the mechanic (who is on holidays in USA at this time) thinks the computer has become confused as it would have been making the petrol leaner and leaner to compensate for the sensors and now it can't adjust to the new sensors. He is going to borrow the part when he returns to make sure that it is the problem as the part is very expensive. His name is Matt Belcher and a Jaguar Club member here and a great mechanic. I was with another mechanic but have changed to a modern specialist. I go on a day rally every January so have changed to take the Nissan Patrol this year. So I have a huge detail job over the next week but the Nissan comes up looking very nice for its age. Great to meet you here and I have lived in Melbourne all my life except for one year that I lived with my Grandmother in Canberra ACT in 1961. Regards Carmel.
